Please allow 7 to 10 days for your application to be processed once it is received by the NGA Business Office.

Your membership in the National Guardianship Association is important. The number of vulnerable people who need guardianship is increasing at an alarming rate. Now is the time for NGA, with you as a valued member, to lead in the education of all guardianship practitioners, to define guardianship practice standards for individuals and agencies, and to inform the public about issues of good guardianship practice. Membership is available to anyone interested in improving guardianship practice in the categories below:

Individual Membership - $180 per year

Individual membership is open to those who serve as professional guardians, as well as to individuals who support guardianship in related fields of health care, the court system, social work services, etc.

Organization Membership - $260 for the primary person; $110 for each additional person

Organizational membership is available to those who wish to enroll multiple individuals from the same business, agency, etc. Annual dues of $260 provide a listing for one person that the organization identifies as the primary contact. Other individuals may then be added as members from the same organization for an additional $110 per person. All benefits of membership are available to each individual who is identified as a member by the organization. State affiliates and other professional associations are excluded from the organizational membership category. Organizational Members are eligible to use the member discount rate for in-person training events, including the National Conference on Guardianship and the Colloquium on Guardianship. The member rate applies to any individuals employed by the organizational member. In addition, the webinar member rate is offered to a total of three (3) individuals. Member rates apply regardless of whether the individuals being registered are the same as those the organization has listed as members. All other benefits, however, apply only to the designated primary contact and any additional paid members in that organization.

Family/Volunteer/Retired Membership - $60 per year

This membership category is open to family members who serve as guardians for an individual, to individuals working as guardians without remuneration, or for those who are retired from providing professional guardianship services, but want to continue to access the NGA membership benefits. Annual dues are $60. Note: Members in these categories are not listed in “Find A Guardian” on the website, but they are included in the Membership Directory and receive all other membership benefits.
